How does Lightning Lane Single Pass work?
Lightning Lane Single Pass is a per-ride pass for the biggest headliners in each park. You buy it for one ride and pick an arrival window ahead. On park day, you enter through the shorter line. Disney sells up to two per guest per day, and each covers its ride once.
Here is how to use Lightning Lane Single Pass, from booking day to ride time:
- Buy it early. The same booking windows cover every Lightning Lane pass. Walt Disney World® Resort hotel guests start seven days before check-in. All other guests start three days ahead. Both windows open at 7 a.m. Eastern in the My Disney Experience app. You can buy it in the same purchase as Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
- Pick your ride and window. Each park keeps one or two headliners off the Lightning Lane Multi Pass list and sells them one at a time. Each ride has its own price, and Lightning Lane Single Pass cost varies by date.
- Tap in during your window. Your window is a one-hour block. At the ride’s Lightning Lane entrance, tap in and go. A MagicBand, your phone, or a ticket card all work. You can change the window in the app while openings last.
These five from the full Lightning Lane ride list sell as Single Pass:
| Attraction | Park | Min Height |
|---|---|---|
| Seven Dwarfs Mine Train | Magic Kingdom Park | 38"97 cm |
| TRON Lightcycle / Run | Magic Kingdom Park | 48"122 cm |
| Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind | EPCOT | 42"107 cm |
| Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance | Disney’s Hollywood Studios | 40"102 cm |
| Avatar Flight of Passage | Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park | 44"112 cm |
Disney caps Single Pass purchases at two per day. They can cover two different rides, even in two parks with the Park Hopper® Option. You can hold Single Passes and Lightning Lane Multi Pass on the same day, since each covers a different set of rides. Each pass covers its ride once.
Single Pass covers the ride itself. Photo downloads come with Lightning Lane Premier Pass and Multi Pass. You can mix all three Lightning Lane pass types on the same park day.
