Enchanting Extras
- Premium add-ons. Enchanting Extras at Walt Disney World® Resort include tours, dessert parties, fireworks cruises, workshops, and more.
- Book early. Every extra requires a separate reservation. Most open 60 days in advance.
- Wide price range. Experiences range from low-cost greenhouse tours to multi-hour VIP guided adventures.
- Some require park admission. Extras inside the parks charge an experience fee on top of your ticket. Resort-based extras like fireworks cruises do not require park admission.
- Get help choosing. A travel advisor can match extras to your group’s ages, interests, and schedule.

Walt Disney World® Resort offers dozens of add-on experiences that go beyond a standard park day. Disney groups these Walt Disney World add ons under the Enchanting Extras Collection. The lineup includes tours, dessert parties, fireworks cruises, character makeovers, and hands-on workshops. Some come with theme park admission. Most need a separate reservation and fee.
What counts as an Enchanting Extra?
Disney uses “Enchanting Extras” as an umbrella term for any premium experience you can add to a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. They fall into two broad categories:
- In-park experiences. These happen inside a theme park and need valid park admission. Examples include behind-the-scenes walking tours, lightsaber-building workshops, and dessert parties with reserved fireworks views.
- Resort-based experiences. These happen at Disney Resort hotels, the Disney Springs® shopping and dining district, or on the water — no park ticket needed. Examples include private fireworks cruises, horseback trail rides, and rooftop cocktail events.
All Enchanting Extras are nontransferable. Guests ages 3 and up need their own reservation for most experiences. Age limits vary by activity. A few — like the GEO-82 cocktail lounge inside Spaceship Earth and the tequila tasting at EPCOT®’s Mexico pavilion — only admit guests 21 and older. A Good Story Vacations travel advisor can match Walt Disney World special experiences to your group’s ages, interests, and schedule.
Theme park experiences
Each theme park has its own set of Enchanting Extras. Here is what each park offers, who it is best for, and what to know before you book.
Magic Kingdom Park
- Keys to the Kingdom tour. A five-hour walking tour that goes behind the scenes at Magic Kingdom® Park. You will see the Utilidor tunnels — the underground service corridors that keep the park running out of sight. The tour covers Disney history, design secrets, and how the park operates day to day. The tour includes lunch. Guests must be 16 or older with valid photo ID. No cameras or phones allowed during backstage portions. This is one of the most popular Enchanting Extras at Walt Disney World Resort. It books up fast.
- Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Located behind Cinderella Castle, kids ages 3–12 transform into princes, princesses, or knights. Packages include hair styling, makeup, nails, and costume options. Book 60 days in advance. Appointments fill fast, especially during holiday weeks.
- Harmony Barber Shop. A working barber shop on Main Street, USA® offering haircuts, beard trims, and a “My First Haircut” package. The first haircut comes with a Mickey Ear hat and a keepsake certificate. It is a small but memorable moment for toddlers visiting Walt Disney World Resort for the first time.
- Fireworks dessert parties. Three options let you pair sweets with the nighttime fireworks show at Magic Kingdom Park. Seats & Sweets gives you a reserved table during the show. The Pre-Party serves treats first, then offers a standing fireworks view. The Post-Party flips it — watch the fireworks first, then enjoy desserts after. All three include sweets, ice cream, and beverages. Guests ages 21 and older can add wine and beer.
- Capture Your Moment. A 20-minute photo session with a professional Disney PhotoPass® Service photographer at a scenic spot in Magic Kingdom Park. You can add more time by booking extra slots back-to-back. Photos are delivered digitally through the My Disney Experience app.
For young families

EPCOT
- Behind the Seeds tour. A one-hour guided walk through the working greenhouses and fish farm inside The Land pavilion at EPCOT. You will see how Disney grows real produce using hydroponics and other methods. Guests must be 3 or older. This is one of the lower-cost Enchanting Extras. It is a good fit for families who enjoy the Living with the Land boat ride through the same greenhouses and want to go deeper.
- DiveQuest. Certified SCUBA divers can explore the 5.7-million-gallon saltwater aquarium inside The Seas with Nemo & Friends pavilion at EPCOT. You will swim with sea turtles, sharks, stingrays, and over 2,000 aquatic animals. Open on select days only. Guests must be at least 10 years old with an Open Water SCUBA certification.
- GEO-82 Fireworks Experience. A cocktail lounge inside Spaceship Earth — the iconic silver sphere at the entrance to EPCOT. It pairs champagne, cocktails, and light bites with a view of the park’s Luminous nighttime fireworks show. Guests must be 21 and older. It is one of the newer Enchanting Extras at EPCOT and a strong pick for a date night.
- La Cava Experience. A guided tasting of rare agave spirits led by a certified Tequila Ambassador inside the Mexico pavilion at EPCOT’s World Showcase. Each spirit comes with a matching flavor pairing. Reservations open 60 days in advance. Last-minute spots sometimes open at the host stand.
- Fireworks dining packages. Two EPCOT restaurants — Rose & Crown Dining Room in the United Kingdom pavilion and Spice Road Table in the Morocco pavilion — offer a dining package with reserved viewing for the Luminous nighttime fireworks show. Rose & Crown includes an appetizer, entrée, dessert, and unlimited beverages. Spice Road Table includes shared small plates, a tagine, beverages, and a dessert platter.
- Capture Your Moment: EPCOT. The same 20-minute professional photo session offered at Magic Kingdom Park, set against EPCOT backdrops instead. The Germany, Italy, Japan, and Morocco pavilions in World Showcase are popular spots.
- Festival concert series dining packages. During EPCOT’s seasonal festivals, select restaurants offer prix fixe meals that come with a guaranteed seat for live concerts at the America Gardens Theater outdoor stage.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Savi’s Workshop — Handbuilt Lightsabers. Inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge® at Disney’s Hollywood Studios you build a custom lightsaber from parts and kyber crystals. One builder and one companion per session. Full payment is due at booking. This is one of the most immersive Enchanting Extras at Walt Disney World Resort. It is a top pick for Star Wars fans of any age.
- Droid Depot. Also in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you design and build a custom R-series or BB-series astromech droid. The finished droid comes with a remote control and carrying box. It works well for kids and adults alike.
- Capture Your Moment: Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Photo sessions take place at spots throughout the park. Popular locations include Toy Story Land, Hollywood Boulevard, and Echo Lake.
For first-timers

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park
- Wild Africa Trek. A three-hour guided adventure at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. It goes beyond the Kilimanjaro Safaris® ride into private wildlife areas that regular guests never see. You will cross rope bridges over crocodile habitats. You will get close-up views of hippos and African wildlife. The trek includes a meal at a private safari overlook. Guests must be at least 8 years old, 48 inches tall, and between 45 and 300 pounds. You wear a harness for the bridge crossings. This is one of the most talked-about Enchanting Extras at Walt Disney World Resort.
- Capture Your Moment: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Professional photo sessions at scenic spots throughout the park, including areas near the Tree of Life® — the park’s centerpiece — and Pandora — The World of Avatar.
Resort experiences
Not every great extra happens inside a theme park. Some of the best Enchanting Extras take place at resort hotels, on the water, or at Disney Springs.
- Fireworks cruises. Private boats leave from select Disney Resort hotels. You watch the Magic Kingdom Park or EPCOT nighttime shows from the water. Each boat holds up to 10 guests. The cost is per boat, not per person. Split among a group, this is one of the more affordable premium extras.
- Celebration at The Top. A cocktail party at California Grill on the 15th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort — one of the closest hotels to Magic Kingdom Park. The evening includes drinks, appetizers, and panoramic views of the park’s fireworks show. Guests must be 21 and older.
- Sangria University. A guided tasting of sangria and Spanish wines at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. Sessions include food pairings and a lesson in how to make sangria.
- Horseback trail rides. Guided trail rides through the woods at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Guests must be at least 9 years old and under 250 pounds. Rides last about 45 minutes.
- Guided fishing excursions. Catch-and-release bass fishing trips on Walt Disney World Resort waterways. Private boats are available from several resort marinas. No fishing license needed — Disney provides all equipment.
- Cake decorating at Amorette’s Patisserie. At Disney Springs — the resort’s shopping, dining, and entertainment district — a Disney pastry artist leads a 90-minute class. You decorate a character dome cake. Each reservation covers up to two guests. Sessions take place in Amorette’s show kitchen before the shop opens.

How to book Enchanting Extras
Most Enchanting Extras open for booking 60 days before your visit. You can book through the My Disney Experience app or by calling (407) 939-7529. Disney Resort hotel guests get the same 60-day window.
A few things to know:
- Payment timing varies. Some experiences — like the lightsaber-building workshop — need full payment at booking. Others charge at the time of the experience.
- Cancellation policies differ. Wild Africa Trek needs cancellation at least two days in advance. Fireworks dessert parties may have different windows. Check the specific experience for details.
- Popular extras sell out fast. Savi’s Workshop, Wild Africa Trek, Keys to the Kingdom, and the fireworks dessert parties are among the first to go. Book them the day your 60-day window opens.
- Credit card guarantee. Most reservations require a credit card on file when you book. Disney charges the card if you no-show or cancel late.
A Good Story Vacations travel advisor can help you decide which Enchanting Extras to book first. They can also set reminders so nothing slips past your booking window.
