Disney’s private VIP tour services at Walt Disney World® Resort give your group a dedicated guide and a private vehicle. Your guide provides Lightning Lane access at every park. Tours run 7 to 10 hours and cover up to all four theme parks in a single day. Up to 10 guests travel together with one guide who handles every detail.

What a VIP tour includes

A Walt Disney World VIP tour is the most hands-on guided experience the resort offers. Your private VIP tour guide meets your group at your Disney Resort hotel (or a select nearby hotel) and stays with you for the entire tour. From there, the guide handles everything.

  • Lightning Lane access. Your guide walks your group through the Lightning Lane entrance at every attraction that offers one. No need to book return times or juggle the My Disney Experience app. You can re-ride favorites as many times as your schedule allows.
  • Faster entry at other attractions. For rides that do not have a Lightning Lane entrance, your guide uses alternate access points to reduce your wait.
  • Reserved viewing. Your group gets dedicated VIP viewing spots for parades and nighttime fireworks shows. No need to stake out a spot hours early.
  • Private vehicle transport. A luxury SUV moves your group between parks. No buses, no monorail waits, no walking between parking lots.
  • Customized itinerary. Your guide builds the day around your group’s priorities across the Disney parks. Thrill rides, character experiences, sit-down meals, shows. You set the agenda. The guide handles pacing and logistics.
  • Door-to-door service. The tour starts at your hotel lobby and ends there too.

For first-time visitors

A VIP tour guide at Walt Disney World Resort does more than skip lines. They share park history, point out hidden details, and help first-time visitors get oriented fast. If your family has never been, the guide turns what could be an overwhelming day into a smooth one.

What is not included

Theme park admission is separate. Every guest on the tour needs a valid theme park ticket for each park visited. If your itinerary covers more than one park in a day, each guest also needs the Park Hopper® Option on their ticket.

The tour fee covers the guide, Lightning Lane access, reserved viewing, and vehicle transport. Food, drinks, and merchandise are on your own, though your guide can help with dining reservations and mobile orders throughout the day.

How long do VIP tours last?

The minimum booking is 7 hours. You can extend to 10 hours depending on availability. Some guests book 7 hours and add time on the day of the tour if the group wants to keep going.

Seven hours is enough to cover one park in depth with time to eat, ride, and enjoy shows. Ten hours gives your group room to slow down, linger over a sit-down meal, catch a parade, and still hit every priority on your list without rushing.

How many guests can join?

Each VIP tour guide leads up to 10 guests, including infants. If your group has more than 10 people, Disney assigns a second guide. Each guide leads a separate group with its own itinerary and vehicle. Large parties can coordinate their plans, but the two groups move on their own inside the parks.

For multigenerational groups

A VIP tour works well for trips with mixed ages. The guide can split the day between thrill rides and gentler experiences. Grandparents can sit out a roller coaster while kids ride. Then everyone meets up for a character meal. The guide keeps the timing smooth.

How to book a VIP tour at Disney World

A Good Story Vacations travel advisor can book your VIP tour for you and coordinate it with the rest of your trip. You can also call Disney at (407) 560-4033. Online booking is not available.

  • Booking window. Reservations open up to 60 days in advance.
  • Cancellation policy. Cancel at least 48 hours before your tour date to avoid a fee.
  • What to have ready. Your travel dates, the number of guests in your party, your Disney Resort hotel (if staying on property), and any must-do attractions or experiences.

Popular dates. Holiday weeks, spring break, and summer weekends. Fill fast. Book as early as your 60-day window allows. Check the crowd calendar to aim for a lower-crowd date when your guide can cover even more ground.

Which parks can you visit?

VIP tours at Disney World cover all four theme parks:

Your guide customizes the route based on your group’s interests. Some families spend the full day at one park. Others hop between two or three. The private vehicle makes park-hopping fast and easy. No waiting for Disney buses or walking through parking areas.

Is a VIP tour worth it?

A Walt Disney World VIP tour is a premium experience. The VIP experience includes a private guide, a dedicated vehicle, and Lightning Lane access for every ride. Disney does not sell a bundled VIP package with tickets and tour together. You book each piece on its own. Whether the private tour is worth it depends on what your group values most.

A VIP tour makes the most sense when:

  • Short trips. If you only have one or two days at Walt Disney World Resort, a VIP tour packs more into every hour than any other strategy.
  • Your group has mixed ages or needs. A guide who knows the parks can balance thrill rides, character meets, and rest breaks so nobody feels left out.
  • You want to skip the planning. No juggling Lightning Lane Multi Pass bookings, no checking wait times, no figuring out park-hopping logistics. The guide handles all of it.
  • Big celebrations. Birthdays, anniversaries, and family reunions are full of magical moments with a private guide and VIP treatment all day.

Tips for getting the most out of a VIP tour

  • Go in with a plan. Before your tour day, list the rides, shows, and characters your group cares about most. Share this with your guide at the start. The more your guide knows about your priorities, the better the day flows.
  • Wear comfortable shoes. You will cover a lot of ground. Even with a private vehicle between parks, there is plenty of walking inside each park.
  • Eat smart. A sit-down meal takes 60 to 90 minutes. Time your guide cannot use for attractions. Many VIP tour families grab quick-service meals or mobile-order snacks between rides to maximize ride time. Save the sit-down dinner for after the tour ends.
  • Bring the essentials. Sunscreen, water bottles, ponchos for rain, and a portable charger for your phone. Your guide keeps the day moving, but Florida weather does not pause for VIP guests.
  • Tell your guide about height requirements. If you have young kids, let your guide know their heights so the itinerary only includes rides they can board. Be sure to check height requirements before your tour day.

Only use Disney’s official VIP tour service

Disney runs the only authorized private VIP tours inside Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. Third-party companies that advertise VIP tour guide services at Disney World cannot operate inside the parks. Disney does not allow outside commercial guides on property.

Some third-party services now offer remote guidance by phone or app while you walk through the parks yourself. That is not the same as having a Disney Cast Member beside your group. Your Disney guide walks you through Lightning Lane entrances and arranges reserved VIP viewing on the spot.

Book through Disney or through a travel advisor. Your guide then has full access to every backstage corridor and every Lightning Lane entrance. No third-party service can match that level of access.
