Does Walt Disney World offer group rates?
Yes, for large groups. Walt Disney World® Resort gives group rates on rooms once a party books 10 rooms or more. You book a block that size through Disney’s group sales team, not the regular site. A travel advisor can work with that team for you as well. Walt Disney World group tickets are a separate program, for schools, youth groups, and meetings.
Multiple families traveling together don’t usually go through group sales. Few of these groups fill 10 rooms. So each family books its own room and tickets or package. Then everyone links up in the My Disney Experience app and plans as one party.
Here is how the two paths compare for a family group:
- Group sales. Walt Disney World group rates cover 10 rooms or more, held as one block. A usual option for family reunions, weddings, school trips, and company events.
- Separate bookings, linked. Each family pays for its own room and tickets, or package. Families can pay separately with no group contract. The Family & Friends list in the app then lets one person plan rides and dining for the whole party.
Disney’s special offers work per reservation, so a party too small for Disney group rates can still use them. With separate rooms, each family picks any offer that fits its own dates and room type. That is often where a group saves, since regular tickets are priced per person no matter how many you buy.
A travel advisor can price both paths for your party size before anyone books.
